Servtec Sénégal is looking for one of its customers in the fully integrated fresh products sector: HR Manager (HR Social et training)

Summary

The main task of the HR manager Training and Social is to assist the Director of Human Resources in the recruitment and training policy of the company’s staff and the well-being of its employees. In this context, it is responsible for the acquisition of personnel, training and capacity building of workers, operational management of transport, canteen, and housing and internal audits and some aspects of the Environmental and social governance.

Objectives

  • Manage forecasts of employment needs expressed by managers.
  • Situate vacancies or create vacancies.
  • Plan staff recruitment.
  • Manage the database of all job seekers and/or trainees.
  • Define workstations and profiles related to HRD and managers.
  • Participate in the development of job postings and job interviews.
  • Support the farm or specialist in case of outsourcing. Prepare, under the supervision of HRD, training modules for new recruits.
  • Perform induction training for workers.
  • Accredit all trained workers through the issuance of a badge.
  • Collect staff training needs.
  • Design a training plan with the support of the HR consultant.
  • Participate in the implementation of the training plan.
  • Drive the contract with transport providers.
  • Monitor and update training Matrix
  • Monitor and control transport operations.
  • Ensure and track the regular pick-up of staff by bus drivers.
  • Ensure that staff, in conjunction with drivers, have optimal transport conditions from their place of residence to the company and vice versa.
  • Establish employee transport vehicle timesheets and driver payment statements.
  • Prepare the monthly transportation indicators summary report (number of vehicles used, number of trips made, monthly cost)
  • Ensure the food supply to the canteen.
  • Ensure workers have free access to the canteen during break time.
  • Monitor and monitor the cleanliness of the canteen and the preparation of meals under hygienic conditions in relation to cookers and surface technicians.
  • Maintain the checkout log of the canteen;
  • Ensure housing conforms to cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct periodic inspection visits to rooms, kitchens and rest areas;
  • Escalate non-conformances to General Management;
  • Follow and enforce auditor’s recommendations for hygiene and cleanliness,

Key responsibilities

Health & Safety (Level 2) :

  • Ensure all operators have completed and understood essential mandatory training and/or safe working procedures
  • Ensure the safety of employees under your control e.g. agreed safety measure in place such as ropes and that PPE is worn where required
  • Report any incidents, near misses and safety conversations in a timely manner
  • Manage the working hours of staff within the company policy, ensuring that rest breaks are taken and monitored
  • Daily checks and completing relevant paperwork e.g. time sheet, overtime, and report mistakes on wages,

Sfaff control :

  • Establish the annual leave schedule to be submitted to the HRD;
  • Ensure that work schedules are applied and adhered to;
  • Supervise staff scores;
  • Ensure overtime reporting;
  • Monitor and filing of absences.
  • Manage the performance and fill in KPI when required,
  • Participate in monthly meetings with staff delegates;
  • Monitor the implementation of measures taken during meetings between the General Management and the company’s social partners;
  • Prevent labour disputes;
  • Participate in the resolution of collective labour disputes;

Development :

  • Improve the process and the procedure for more efficiency of the HR department and task better performance on task under your responsibility,
  • Embrace new technology and ways of working that improve efficiencies and provision of Management data e.g. E-scanning, new software of Human resources

Other responsibilities 

  • Preparing Ethical audit and conform to ETI standards,
  • Organizing and monitoring of PPE, and Welfare stuffs
  • Organizing and issuing uniform for staff and organize PPE room and sign out sheet
  • Monitor and organize wages complaints.
  • Complete the annual social report on time.
  • Follow up Employee performance review with managers.
  • Update Job Description when necessary
  • Monthly ESG report to the HR and CSR director,
  • Yamane Medical centre report and follow up with community request
  • Translation of Documents where required.
